USE

 

The lancing device is intended for the hygienic collection of capillary blood for testing purposes from the side of a fingertip and from other sites, such as the palm, the upper arm, and the forearm, which is referred to as non-fingertip testing or alternate site testing.

 

HOW DO YOU USE THE ONETOUCH DELICA PLUS LANCING DEVICE?

 

– Prepare the lancing device by following these steps:

  • Remove the lancing device cap.
  • Insert a sterile lancet into the lancing device and. remove its protective cover.
  • Replace the lancing device cap.
  • Adjust the depth setting
  • Cock the lancing device by sliding the button back until it clicks.

 

– After preparing the lancing device, you can now test following these steps:

  • Hold the lancing device firmly against the side of your finger.
  • Press the release button to puncture.
  • Apply the blood sample following the instructions in your Meter or System Guide for proper sample application.
  • Remove the lancing device cap.
  • Cover the exposed lancet tip with protective cover
  • Eject the lancet.
  • Replace the lancing device cap.

HOW DO I STORE THE LANCING DEVICE?

 

There are no special storage conditions. Store with the carrying case that came with your system.

The Contour Next EZ Blood Glucose Meter is an over-the-counter (OTC) gadget that allows people with diabetes to self-test their glucose levels in whole blood at home. This meter should only be used by a single patient and should not be shared. With a customised Hi and Lo goal range and a summary of your blood glucose test results, it pinpoints trouble locations.

 

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

 

• Before testing, read the user guide for your Contour® Next EZ meter, the lancing device insert, and all other instructional materials included in your meter set. To avoid erroneous findings, please follow all usage and care directions to the letter.

•Used test strips and lancets may contain biohazardous materials and must be discarded as medical waste.

 

USES

 

CONTOUR NEXT test strips are intended for self-testing by persons with diabetes for the quantitative measurement of glucose in whole blood samples from 20 to 600 mg/dL. The CONTOUR NEXT control solutions are aqueous glucose solutions intended for use in self-testing by people with diabetes as a quality control check.

 

WARNING

 

• The meter and lancing device are for single patient
use. Do not share them with anyone including other family members. Do not use on multiple patients.

• Even after washing and disinfection, all pieces of the kit are considered biohazardous and might potentially transmit infectious diseases.

• Always wash your hands well with soap and water before and after testing, handling the meter, lancing device, or test strips.

 

STORAGE

 

Store strips in their sealed container; keep them away from heat, moisture and humidity. Be sure the strips are meant for your specific glucose meter. Keep your glucose meter and test strips at room temperature.

DESCRIPTION

 

Lancets are the fine needles used with a lancing device to draw a blood sample for glucose testing. OneTouch UltraSoft Lancets have a thin tip for make testing less painful. 28 gauge lancing device allows for smaller sample collections. Supports alternate site claims for testing on arm. For use with the OneTouch Ultra and OneTouch UltraSmart Meters and the OneTouch InDuo System.

 

USES

HOW DO YOU USE ULTRASOFT LANCETS?

 

  • Eject lancet from lancing device and snap-on safety cap before discarding.
  • Dry well.
  • Load lancet into lancing device and twist off protective cap.
  • Choose a spot on the side of a different finger each time you take a blood sample.
  • Follow lancing device manufacturer’s instructions for obtaining a blood sample.

WARNINGS

 

For your safety, never share a lancet with another person.
Sterile: Do not use if protective disk has been damaged or removed.

 

STORAGE

 

There are no special storage conditions. Store with the carrying case that came with your system.

 

CAUTION: Keep the lancing  away from young children. The lancing device, cap, lancets and lancet protective covers are choking hazards.
