What is Caduet?
Caduet is a drug that combines amlodipine and atorvastatin. Atorvastatin belongs to a class of medications known as HMG CoA reductase inhibitors, or “statins.” Atorvastatin lowers “bad” cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein, or LDL) and triglyceride levels in the blood while raising “good” cholesterol levels (high-density lipoprotein, or HDL).
If you have liver illness, you should avoid Caduet.
Amlodipine and atorvastatin can damage or induce birth abnormalities in an unborn child. If you’re expecting a child, don’t use it. If you become pregnant while using this medication, stop taking it immediately and notify your doctor.
While taking Caduet, do not breastfeed.
Before taking this medicine
If you are allergic to amlodipine (Norvasc) or atorvastatin (Lipitor), or if you have liver disease, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should not use Caduet.

If you have ever had renal disease, heart disease, muscle discomfort or weakness, diabetes, a thyroid issue, or if you consume more than two alcoholic beverages each day, tell your doctor.
