Venlafaxine is an antidepressant that helps people recover from depression. It is also sometimes used to treat anxiety and panic attacks. It comes in tablets and capsules. These are available only by prescription.

It is used to treat depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and social anxiety disorder (social phobia). Helps improve mood and energy levels and restore interest in everyday life. How do you use Venlafaxine XL
Take as directed by your doctor, usually once daily, in the morning or evening, with food.
Do not crush, chew, or dissolve this medicine. This increases the risk of side effects as all the drug is released at once.
The entire capsule is difficult, the capsule can be opened and the contents sprinkled over a spoonful of applesauce.
Venlafaxine Dosage XL
The usual starting dose of venlafaxine is 75 mg per day, but your doctor may increase it gradually up to a maximum dose of 375 mg.
If you have liver or kidney problems, your doctor may prescribe a lower dose.
Standard tablets are available as 37.5 mg or 75 mg tablets. Extended-release tablets and capsules are available in 75 mg and 150 mg.
Venlafaxine Side Effects XL
Nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, loss of appetite, blurred vision, nervousness, sleep disturbance, abnormal sweating, or yawning may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor immediately.
Remember, this medicine was prescribed for you. Many people taking this medicine have not experienced any serious side effects.
This drug may raise blood pressure.
Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects such as easy bruising/bleeding, decreased interest in sex, changes in sexual performance, muscle cramps/weakness, or tremors (tremors).

Store Venlafaxine XL at controlled room temperature, 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F).
