WHAT IS SUPRALIP?
Supralip contain the active ingredient : Fenofibrate, which is a type of medicine called a fibrate. It is used to lower the levels of fats (lipids) called cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. Fenofibrate also increases levels of HDL cholesterol. The overall effect is lowered levels of “bad fats” and raised levels of “good fats” in the blood. This medicine is used when blood lipid levels cannot be lowered by diet and exercise alone. It is important to continue to follow a cholesterol-lowering diet and exercise regime while taking fenofibrate. Discuss this with your doctor.
USE
High levels of fats (lipids) such as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood (hyperlipidaemia).This medicine is used when blood lipid levels cannot be lowered by diet and exercise alone.
SUPRALIP NT 145 DOSAGE
ADULTS: Recommended Dose: 1 tab (145 mg) once daily.
Patients currently taking Supralip NT 145 one 200-mg cap or one 160-mg tab can be changed to one 145-mg tab without further dose adjustment.
CHILDREN: The use of the 145-mg tab is contraindicated in children.
ELDERLY: In elderly patients, the usual adult dose is recommended.
ADMINISTRATION
Tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Supralip NT 145 may be given at any time of the day, with or without food.

Gastrointestinal Disorders, Hepatobiliary Disorders, Skin and Subcutaneous Tissue Disorders, Musculoskeletal, Connective Tissue and Bone Disorders, Cardiovascular System, Blood and Lymphatic System Disorders, Nervous System Disorders and Respiratory, Thoracic and Mediastinal Disorders.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR DISPOSAL AND OTHER HANDLING
Any unused medicinal product or waste material should be disposed of in accordance with local requirements.
Only anecdotal cases of fenofibrate overdosage have been received. In the majority of cases no overdose symptoms were reported. No specific antidote is known. If an overdose is suspected, treat symptomatically and institute appropriate supportive measures as required. Fenofibrate cannot be eliminated by haemodialysis.
STORAGE
- Store in the original package in order to protect from moisture.
- Do not store above 30°C.
