OVERVIEW
Humalog 100 units/ml solution for injection is a sterile, clear, colourless, aqueous solution and contains 100 units of insulin lispro in each millilitre (100 units/ml) solution for injection. Each cartridge contains 300 units (3 millilitres). The cartridges come in packs of 5 or 10 cartridges.
USES
HUMALOG is used to control high blood sugar (glucose) in people with diabetes. HUMALOG takes effect more rapidly and has a shorter duration of activity as compared to regular insulin. The rapid onset of activity requires HUMALOG to be given within 15 minutes before a meal.
WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS
Excessive alcohol consumption might cause a decline in blood sugar levels. This drug should not be used if you have low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Before starting treatment, tell your doctor if you’ve ever had kidney or liver problems. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should talk to their doctor about adjusting their dosage. Humalog Mix25 should not be mixed with other insulins or used with an insulin pump. Even if the needle has been changed, do not share your insulin with others, as this can spread diseases and blood pathogens.

STORAGE
Keep your cartridges in a fridge between 2°C – 8°C. Do not freeze any of these HUMALOG insulins. You may keep the cartridges below 30°C for up to 28 days while you are using them. Do not put your cartridges near heat or in the sun.
